Standard Steel Car Company The Standard Steel Car Company was an automobile manufacturer established in Butler. Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania in 1902 by Diamond Jim Brady. Its main production car was the Standard Eight, which in 1919 had 83 horsepower (62 kW). Standard Steel eventually merged with the Pullman Palace Car Company to become Pullman Standard, a monopoly that was eventually dismantled by the US government. |
